The South Thomson Bay Playground provides a fantastic opportunity to create an active play space for young children. The colourful forms are a celebration of the character of the island.

For children visiting Rottnest Island there are a series of iconic places and experiences which shape their memories. The boat trip over, a bike ride to the lighthouse, spotting endemic wildlife, swimming in the clear blue water and playing in the sand at the beach define many young children’s experience of their holiday.

The playground celebrates these key experiences through built form that reflects these iconic experiences.
